Rad Polewear’s vision is to become a pioneer in creating ethically made and sustainable polewear. We do know that the world has a long way to go towards sustainability, nevertheless this is never an excuse not to improve ourselves and our services.
RAD CARES, is the new name we have chosen to identify our commitment to preserve nature and the environment and it goes over and beyond all of us.

A solid
foundation
In order to build the path to a better future you need to reconsider and start with the basics. These include some of our more important decisions, that define both the brand and ourselves.
Materials
From the Fall of 2019 we started as a company to incorporate eco-friendly and sustainable materials, made from recycled bottles and fishnets from the sea. For years we have been trying to find alternative solutions to make our company environmentally responsible and our fabrics sustainable, and we are proud to finally announce it.
After a lot of research we discovered new sustainable materials that are made of ECONYL® regenerated Nylon that turns waste problems into fashion and interior solutions.
Excessive waste including Carpet fluff, fishing nets, and other discared nylons, after reaching the end of their useful life, are not disposed of into a landfill, but are recovered, regenerated and transformed by Aquafil into ECONYL® yarn, which is then used to produce our eco friendly fabrics, that guarantee the same performance as standard fabrics.

Rad wouldn’t exist without our passionate and dedicated partners.
At this moment we collaborate with three different manufactures, and all of them are Greek. Two of them are family owned small-sized businesses located in Greece, while the other one is a medium-sized manufacturing facility which is located in Bulgaria.

Packaging
Taking this into account we have decided to abandon our current packaging method of plastic zip lock pouches and instead our new Collections will be packaged in recycled cotton drawstring bags.
Furthermore, in order to avoid the usage of plastic-stickers, we will provide recycled paper Card-Postals. The idea behind this, is to maximize the utility of each component of our offerings, even of the smallest one. To us, promoting environmental responsibility means investing in our present to live a better future. This is only the beginning!

Working Conditions
As a company we sheerly prohibit and frown upon child-labor and any form of sweatshops in all parts of our production. As an integrate part of our company mentality, we promote human rights, fair wages and working hours.
In the extent that our employees work overtime, it is guaranteed that they will receive their over-hour payments, and our employees are guaranteed a healthy and safe work-environment.

Our brand is also woman-owned by Amalia Roussou and Evridiki Valavani and operated by a team of two including Alex & Nadia.

Pet Friendly Policy
As proud animal-lovers, in RAD we have the ability to bring our pets with us at the office. According to several researches bringing your pet with you at work, reduces anxiety and improves performance by 60%. We can all confirm that our mood elevates every time there’s a pup with us!
